Browndown Army Camp , South Coast CQB , Browndown Road, Lee-On-Solent , PO13 9UG.

The Camp has historically been used to host the Royal Marines as well as the British Army, and is used by Police Forces for urban combat training.

Description

  • 3 and 4 man clearance of standard and non-standard structures. Emphasis is placed on problem solving within environments such as single and double story residential buildings as well as multi-use facilities with complex layouts.

  • An introduction to Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), including Care Under Fire and an use of the MARCH algorithm to treat and manage casualties in a hostile environment setting.

  • Vehicle based drills including reaction to contact/dismount drills as well as vehicle based threat awareness and fighting from / around vehicles.

  • Eye Protection

  • Hearing Protection

  • Appropriate Clothing (Closed toe shoes, non restrictive trousers etc)

  • Airsoft / Unit Solutions Rifle and Pistol ONLY. No live firearms / firearms with drop in Mantis / Simunition kits allowed on this course. Rifle to be equipped with a sling.

  • Body Armour / Shooters Belt

Packing List (Optional but encouraged)

  • Helmet

  • Reusable Flash / Distraction Grenades (.209 Primer / 12 Ga Blank ONLY. To be checked with DS on arrival)

  • Rifle / Pistol mounted weapon light
